About Us
Simple Contracting. Simply Great Results.
How Badgerland Was Born
Owner AJ Stoffels spent his early years working all across the U.S. building roofs. But in 2009 things began to change. He saw common gaps between what customers were saying they wanted, and what roofing companies were delivering on a national scale. He decided then and there to be a force for positive change. Badgerland Exteriors was created in Sauk City, and has been serving customers faithfully for over a decade.
Core Values to Live By
At Badgerland, we don’t just list our values for show. We demonstrate them through our actions, each and every day. We believe that treating others with respect and delivering outstanding results is the bare minimum, and around here? We like to go above and beyond. Want to know what to expect when you hire us? Here’s what we focus on.
Integrity
We're up front and sell products that were confident in and would install on our own homes. We say what we do, and do what we say.
Always Growing
Our main drive in business is to constantly improve to better serve our clients.
Working Together
Teamwork in our company is crucial for us to maintain a satisfied client base.
Loyalty
Our loyalty to our customers and community are a cornerstone to our success.
We Work Hard
Consistency in our day to day operations are a must for us to survive. Strong work ethic will set us apart from our competitors.
Why Choose Us?
Homeowners across America have similar complaints when it comes to working with roofing contractors: poor communication, unfair pricing, and shoddy results that don’t last. We do things differently by taking the roof replacement process from stressful to peaceful. You can count on us to do exactly what we promise to do, whether that be showing up promptly or sticking to our upfront estimate.

🤝 meet the team 🤝
Meet Jeremy Meier, General Manager at Badgerland Exteriors & Solar.
Jeremy has been part of Badgerland since the very beginning in 2010. As the team continues to grow, so has his role. After years leading production, Jeremy has stepped into our General Manager position, keeping things running smoothly so projects go the way they should.
A few quick facts about Jeremy:
Hometown: Sauk Prairie
Part of the Team Since: 2010

Jeremy has been a steady presence behind the scenes, making sure projects stay on track and the team has what they need. We’re so lucky he`s here!
Have something in common with Jeremy? Let him know below.
Our team spent some time in Wisconsin Dells at ABC Supply’s ABCs of Success event last week.
We sat in on product trainings, installation seminars, and manufacturer sessions (LP SmartSide, James Hardie, and more) to stay sharp on how materials are meant to perform, especially in a climate like Wisconsin.
A big takeaway: installation details matter. A lot.
And real-world conditions rarely match “perfect” installs.
We’re always looking for ways to keep improving how we plan and execute projects. Events like this help us do exactly that.
Did you know financing is available for roofing and solar?
These projects are a bigger investment, and not always something homeowners plan for years in advance. Financing can help spread out the cost so you can move forward when the timing makes sense for your home.
We offer different options for roofing and solar, and we’ll walk you through what fits your project.
You can also find more details and application links under Resources on our website.
As the snow melts, it’s easier to see how your roof held up over the winter.
This homeowner already had a feeling their roof was nearing the end of its life. A closer look confirmed it. Missing shingles, granule loss, exposed nails, broken seals, and organic growth all in one place.
If you’re starting to notice similar signs, it’s probably time to start planning for a replacement. It’s not always an emergency, but worth getting ahead of.

Storm damage is never fun, but having the right team helps.
After a large hail storm, Melissa trusted our team to replace her roof and siding. We’re grateful for the kind words and the opportunity to help restore her home.
As we move into spring, many Wisconsin homeowners start noticing what winter left behind.
One reason? Freeze–thaw cycles.
When temperatures swing above and below freezing, snow melts during the day and refreezes overnight. Over time, that repeated melting and freezing can slowly affect roofing materials.
Spring is often when small things start to show up. Lifted shingles, granules in gutters, or ceiling stains can sometimes appear after a long winter.
Not a ladder person? Totally fair. A professional inspection can make things a little easier and a lot safer.
Because informed homeowners are empowered homeowners.
Our team attended the Community Associations Institute (CAI) Wisconsin Chapter Annual Conference last month, and we spent the day listening to property managers, board members, and industry partners talk about what matters most when working with contractors.
A few things we heard again and again:
• Communication and collaboration matter.
• Associations want contractors who can handle the scale of the work.
• Board members take their roles seriously and want partners they can trust.
We also had some great conversations about solar and how rising utility costs may start shaping future decisions for multi-family communities.
Events like this help us better understand how associations operate so we can show up as better partners.
If you’re part of an HOA or manage multi-family properties, what’s the most important thing you look for in an exterior contractor?
We’re listening.
