Brands such as Duradek have products that look nice and create a surface that can hold patio furniture to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

After Badgerland Exteriors and their insurance company conducted inspections, storm damage was found on roofs across the entire complex. When hail strikes asphalt shingles, divots are one of the strongest examples of damage. As shown in this photo from Windsor, WI, the hail hit the shingle hard enough to cause granule loss. The black tar paper can be seen, and it can feel soft to the touch like a bruise on an apple. 

There are a variety of signs a roof is starting to fail and needs maintenance. While the major focus of the roofing system is the shingles, there are other items to consider. This photo is an example of failing flashing, specially the pipe boot. The pipes on roof exist to ensure the plumbing systems inside the home function properly. These pipes need to have rubber flashing around them to prevent water from infiltrating. When this flashing starts to fail, water can leak into the home.
